This classic medallion design with the anniversary year in Roman numerals within a raised circle that is inside a triangle to complete the AA traditional symbol, is created in fine silver.  On the three sides of the triangle are the words, "Unity,, Service, Recovery".  Around the edge of the coin is the phrase, "To thine own self be true".   The Serenity Prayer is on the back around a sunken circle, "God grant me the serenity to accept things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can, and wisdom to know the difference."
